I made a special icon, in anticipation of the large amount of severe weather we Floridians are almost certainly doomed to endure in the coming months.
And now, I will elaborate on why Gainesville (or rather, the whole evacuation business) sucked.
I hadn't had any sleep, having been awoken midway through my precious seven hours by family members who needed things done last minute. For instance: moving tables that turned out to be infested with bees.
Packing was done haphazardly, and we forgot a few rather important things-- umbrellas and cell phone chargers, most notably. Marc was upset that we forgot to pack his Ritz crackers. I swear he isn't usually that frivolous.
The Cavalier rattled disconcertingly once it reached seventy miles per hour, and continued to rattle for the rest of the trip. I was busy being tired and ill. Regardless of that, though, even if one feels stupendous, a six hour drive is never fun, particularly when one's brother-- who is going in a separate car-- incessantly berates one via cell phone for not driving as fast as him. Mother did the driving, but the fact that Marc expected us to pass everyone he was passing was just... annoying.
When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that our room was not ready yet. Marc, who had set the room up for us, was pissed. The rest of us were too tired to be pissed.
The four of us (myself, mother, Marc, and his girlfriend, Tasha), stayed in one hotel room with two double beds. This was exceedingly unpleasant, mostly because my mother snores like a cartoon character and I had to wear earplugs just to get some sleep. In addition, the hotel was situated at a large intersection less than a hundred feet away from a gas station; we also started to think that the fire station dispatch was somewhere nearby, after hearing sirens at least three times a day for three days. Marc and I were definitely not bundles of joy, but Tasha was like a rainbow spanning across the room the whole time; she was so happy and cute and energetic. It's possible that we would have killed each other if she hadn't been there.
The Weather Channel, like most alleged 'news' channels, has succumbed to sensationalism, and their reporting had us all on edge. Normally, we would watch the local news station for that sort of thing, but we were kind of not in PCB anymore, so there was no way for us to know what was actually going on out at the beach.
Then we got back, and there were three shingles missing from our roof. Marc's exact words were: "The house is OK, but there's shit all over the yard."
And, as promised, a bit about Gundam Wing.
It's a pretty great series-- I mean, it has giant robots with laser rifles-- but it has aged considerably, and I'm actually noticing the extensive usage of stock footage this time around. Also, Wufei starts out as a really big prick and I don't like him.
As somebody who never managed to catch all the episodes when they aired on Cartoon Network back in the day (lolz) but read a considerable amount of fan fiction, I am surprised at how much I like Relena. Fanon dictates that Relena is an evil creature who gets in the way of sweet, sweet, implausible yaoi pairings, or something, and I guess I must've read so much fanfic with her behaving like a twit that I wrote her off. She's insane during the first half of the series, though, doing all kinds of dangerous things, surprising her enemies so much that they're too busy going "Guh?" to attack her. She's kind of... stupid, in the sense of being reckless, and very naive, but I like her. At least until she turns into a Total Pacifism zombie. Then it's like, come on, Relena. Sometimes, you gotta fight for your right to party.
The Endless Waltz film had gorgeous animation, but that crappy Two-Mix song that kept playing was seriously ruining everything for me. I like Two-Mix, but this particular song was trash, and a highly effective mood-killer.

I babble at you now..
I love your icon for the sole reason my family jokes about how you can judge how screwed (hurricane wise) you are by how close Jim Cantore is to where you live. xD "Pensacola? Safe! PCB? We dead!"I think the main reason I don't like Relena was she sounded very whiny/clingy in English. I haven't heard the sub for it, so maybe her voice is better. I'm going to block the fem-pacifist she turned into later on out of my mind...You just wanted to take duct tape to her mouth. xD Wufei was so prissy. Good grief. I never saw why some of my friends adored his character. xD

Yeah, I didn't watch the dub this time, and that probably had something to do with it. The tone of the English actress' voice was good, but I don't remember if her acting itself was any good. I don't intend to find out, either, because Japanese is prettier than English.
Wufei is just so bland. All he ever does is talk about how women suck and JUSTICE blah, blah, blah. He's tolerable later on, but still. And I don't get why people love Quatre so much, either. Trowa, Heero and Duo are better.

I dunno, her Heero screaming just broke one's eardrums. I know one of my friends liked Quatre because he seemed so sweet. After he went a tad psycho everyone just went "O_O;" and the guys tended to speak better of him. He'll just never live down the stupid name awarded his gundam. xD

It's somehow funnier in Japanese...?
Quatre's sweet, but he always seemed kind of dull to me. While I do like him a bit more once he starts using Zero, I still don't like him as much as I like the others (excluding Wufei).

Probably. They scream better at least. xD (voice dubbers...don't carry off good screaming) Of course, compared to the wonderful Treize, who wouldn't look dull? :D That was a man of character there.

(Yes, I only speak in acronyms now. OMGWTFLOLZ)

Acronyms are the way of the
dismal, forsaken, and emptyfuture!Personally, I prefer to turn acronyms back into words, such as "roffle" and "ellemayo".
